7:00 pm – The board of directors met prior to the general membership meeting. These are the items that were discussed:

7:30 pm – Meeting was called to order.

Introduction of Officers:  Mike Cumberland- President(absent), Chris Smith- Treasurer(filled in for Mike C.), Brian Jesteadt- Membership(absent), James Hacke- Secretary, Roger Carfangia- Pistol(absent), Mike Ripley- Black Powder, Tom Horstman- Trap, Tom Fischer- Appointed by the membership.

Treasurer’s Report: Chris read the report.

Bills and Communications:  Fall property taxes are due in the amount of $2,365.89. A motion was made and voted in to pay the taxes.  Chris also reported that he ordered new checks for the checking account. 

Pop: Steve turned in $11.

Rental Committee Report:  Aug. 26 & 27 for constable training. Sept 9th the Butler Abate chapter hosting a charity event

Pistol Team:  Reported that the state match went well.  Will have the report to turn in next month.

Trap Team:  Practices from June 6th till Aug 1st took in $248, expenses were $195, kept $16, and turned in $37.  Trap shooting practice nights are continuing every other Tuesday from 5 pm till dark.  Shooting one round of 25 targets costs $4.  Practice starts around 5 pm and continues till dark or until everyone is done shooting. 

Black Powder / Meat Shoots:  Mike took in $160, expenses were $80, kept $20, and turned in $60 for the meat shoots.  They start at 11 am and are open to members and the public.  Mike announced that this year’s rendezvous weekend will begin September 1st

Junior Rifle Team:  Mike Ripley is no longer running the Junior Rifle team.  Anyone that is interested in taking over please contact Mike or a board of directors.    

Archery: 

Fun Indoor Shoot:  The fun shoots are over for the season and will resume in September.  The fun shoots happen on Mondays. Doors open at 9 am with the first shoot starting around 10 am.    

Rifle:  Al took in $52, expenses were $4, and turned in $48.

The first rifle match has started and will continue to be held on the last Sunday of each month.  Entry into the first event is $5 and will be $4 to re-enter into additional matches.  There are 4 different classes to shoot in depending on the type of .22 rifle and optics.  Registration time is around 9 am.   

Membership:   Nothing to report this month. 

Old Business:  Nothing new. 

New Business:  Rich Hoover officially stepped down as the club’s groundkeeper.  Al, Barry, and Bob are all stepping up to fill Rich’s vacancy.
